Experience Lowell’s Boat Shop Boston
Lowell’s Boat Shop is a National Landmark and working museum dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the art and craft of wooden boat building. The craft of wooden boat building played a key role in the development of New England and an emerging nation. Lowell’s Boat Shop Boston is dedicated to actively engaging new audiences around this history and the boat builder’s role in it. Utilizing hands-on coursework in traditional boatbuilding and other maritime arts and crafts, Lowell’s Boat Shop Boston provides participants with a once in a lifetime experience. Students learn by doing. They actively participate in the truly inspiring surroundings of Boston Harbor, the USS Constitution and the historic Charlestown Navy Yard.

Lowell's Boat Shop is currently closed at our Charlestown location.
We will be continuing our educational programming in April, 2010.
