LOWELL’S DORY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Lowell’s Boat Shop (LBS) is seeking sponsorship to sustain its mission of perpetuating the time-honored craft of wooden boat building in America’s oldest continuously operating boat shop. These funds will be used to underwrite boat-building costs with the goal of creating a dory inventory to exhibit at boat shows, display at Lowell’s Boat Shop for prospective clients, and/or for use on the LBS waterfront. LBS proposes to accomplish this goal in the following manner:

With an individual, corporate, or foundation investment of $5,000 – $15,000, that investor will be entitled to the following benefits:
• Name engraved on the Dory Sponsorship Board at LBS to give public awareness of participating donor
• Signage at the Boat Shop during boat production
• Name engraved on the dory you sponsor
• Invitation to a launching party upon completion of your boat
• Admission to Lowell’s Boat Shop for your family or corporation’s/foundation’s members during the building process
• Use of LBS for a function or event (limited to 50 people)

Sponsored dories can serve as a lasting memorial or be sold to benefit the Boat Shop. If your dory is sold, a portion of your original investment will be placed in a revolving account to be used exclusively for the production of wooden boats. As a sponsor, your tax-deductible donation will ensure the sustained operation of Lowell’s Boat Shop and the preservation of boat building history on the banks of the Merrimack River.
